Shipping & Freight Operational Calculators
Perform instant computations for Volumetric Revenue Tons (W/M), Container Load space estimations, Laytime & Demurrage settlements, and Vessel Deadweight Cargo Capacities (DWCC).
1. CBM & Revenue Ton (W/M) Calculator
LCL / Ocean & AirOcean freight standard: 1 CBM = 1,000 kg (1 MT). Freight is billed on whichever is greater: actual gross metric tonnes (Weight) or volume in CBM (Measurement).
2. Container Capacity & TEU Estimator
FCL PlanningCalculates the required number of 20'GP (~33 CBM, 28t), 40'GP (~67 CBM, 28t), or 40'HQ (~76 CBM, 28t) containers based on total shipment volume and payload.
3. Laytime & Demurrage / Despatch
Voyage C/PAllowed laytime = Cargo Tonnage / Daily Load-Discharge Rate. If time used exceeds laydays, charterer pays Demurrage. If saved, owner pays Despatch (usually 50% of demurrage rate).
4. Deadweight Cargo Capacity (DWCC)
Vessel PayloadFormula: DWCC = DWAT – (Bunkers + Fresh Water + Stores + Ballast/Constants + Crew & Provisions). Determines maximum revenue-earning cargo a vessel can lift.
